Laminate & Impregnated
COMPOSITE LAMINATE & IMPREGNATED TIMBER

Glued laminated timber (gluelams) is the timber produced by welding two or more layers of wood, with the fibers of all the pieces parallel to each other and longitudinally.
The widths and thicknesses of the timber vary, as they are produced in long lengths (usually 12 m - 13 m, even 24 m +), and their shape can be straight or curved.
Main advantages of Gluelams:
- Production of various dimensions - cross sections (lengths / widths / thicknesses)
- Improved mechanical strength against simple building timber
- Use in demanding constructions
- Use in structures with large openings without support
Main uses of Gluelams:
- Roof beams
- Roof pillars
Impregnated timber is a timber that has been chemically treated and carries protective chemicals to protect against micro-organisms, bacteria & fungi that cause wood damage especially when exposed to weather or in highly humid environments.
The impregnation process is done by vacuum pressure with special solvents that penetrate into the heart of the wood.
The main uses of impregnated timber are:- Constructions for gardens
- Kiosks
- Fences
- Professional Outdoor
